Jakoz is a free games app for playing with friends: classic Ludo, the Gulf card games Baloot and Speed ♠ (Spades), and Majlis voice rooms where you can just hang out and talk. It runs in your browser at jakozgaming.com, and an Android app is coming to Google Play.

Yes. Every game, voice chat and the Majlis are free. You earn coins by playing and can spend them on looks such as dice, boards, tokens and profile banners. Coins have no money value.

No. Open jakozgaming.com on any phone, tablet or computer and tap Play now. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

No. Pick a name and a picture and you are playing in seconds. If you want to keep your player when you change phone, tap Save my player with Google in your profile.

Save your player with Google once (Edit profile → Save my player with Google). On the new phone, open Jakoz and tap Sign in with Google. Your name, level, coins and friends come with you.

The app is in English, and the quick chat phrases come in both English and Arabic. Text chat works in any language.

Open Ludo, Baloot or Speed ♠, tap Play with friends, and share the link or the 6-letter room code. Friends who open the link join your room straight away, even if they have never played before.

Quick match finds other players who are waiting right now. In Ludo you can choose a 1 vs 1 game or a 4-player game. If nobody is around, computer players fill the empty seats so you never wait long.

Yes. Practice mode lets you play Ludo, Baloot or Speed ♠ against computer players at easy, medium or hard level. In Ludo you can also pass one phone around for a game at home.

Tap a player’s picture in any game to add them as a friend. From the Friends page you can chat privately, see who is online and invite them to a game or to your Majlis with one tap.

An optional feature that shows other players within about 2 km so you can meet new people to play with. It is off until you turn it on, and it never shows your exact location.

Two to four players. Online games are 1 vs 1 or four players; in practice and pass-and-play you can mix people and computer players.

The classic rules: roll a 6 to bring a token out, capture by landing on an opponent, star squares are safe, three 6s in a row lose the turn, and the first player with all four tokens home wins. The room host can change these house rules before the game starts. See the Ludo guide.

Baloot (بلوت) is the most popular card game in the Gulf: four players in two teams, 32 cards (7 to A). After 5 cards and a face-up card, players call Sun (no trumps) or Hokm (trumps), play 8 tricks and collect points; the first team to 152 wins. See the Baloot guide.

Cards are worth points (abnat): A 11, 10 10, K 4, Q 3, J 2, and in Hokm the trump J 20 and 9 14; the last trick is worth 10. A Sun hand is worth 26 game points and a Hokm hand 16. Projects (runs of 3, 4 or 5 cards, four of a kind) and Baloot (K + Q of trumps) add more. The buying team must beat the other team or lose everything; winning all 8 tricks is Kaboot.

Speed is the Gulf way of playing Spades: four players in two teams of partners sitting opposite each other. Everyone bids how many tricks they will win, spades beat every other suit, and the first team to the target score wins. See the Speed ♠ guide.

Partners add their bids together. If the team wins at least that many tricks, it scores its bid; if it falls short, the bid is taken away. The first team to reach the target (31 or 51, or a single hand) wins.

The Majlis is a voice room for up to 8 friends, no game needed. Start one from the home screen, invite friends with one tap, and talk on loudspeaker or with a headset. See the Majlis guide.

Voice goes straight between the players’ phones (through a secure relay when a network needs one). It is never recorded or stored. The microphone is only used while you are in voice chat, and you can mute yourself or anyone else at any time.

Allow microphone access when your browser asks, check the phone is not on silent, and use the 📢 loudspeaker button or the mic menu to switch between the phone speaker and a headset. If friends sound choppy, moving to a stronger Wi-Fi or mobile signal usually fixes it.

Tap the player’s picture and choose Mute, Block or Report. Rude words in chat are hidden automatically, and reports are reviewed by the Jakoz team.

Every dice roll and every card deal happens on the Jakoz game server, not on the players’ phones, so nobody can change their luck. Cards are shuffled with a secure random generator.

Your game keeps going. Open Jakoz again and you return to the same game; a computer player covers your turns while you are away for a short time.

No. Coins are only earned by playing and cannot be bought, sold or cashed out. Jakoz is for fun.

Jakoz is made for players aged 13 and over, because it has voice and text chat with other players.

Yes. Jakoz works in Safari and Chrome on iPhone and iPad, in any modern browser on Android, and on Windows and Mac computers.

The Jakoz Android app is coming to Google Play. Until then, open jakozgaming.com in Chrome and choose Add to Home screen for the same full-screen experience.

In the app: Edit profile → Delete account. You can also follow the steps on the delete account page. Your player and all its data are removed.
