The Majlis: voice rooms for friends

Just like sitting together in a majlis: a voice room where up to 8 friends can talk, no game needed. It is free and works in your browser.

Start a Majlis

1. Open Jakoz and tap the Majlis card on the home screen.
2. Allow the microphone when your phone asks.
3. Tap Invite to call friends from your friends list, or Share to send the link or code in any chat app.

In the room

• Everyone sits in a circle around the carpet; a ring lights up when someone talks.
• Tap the big round mic button to mute or unmute yourself.
• Use 📢 loudspeaker or pick your headset from the mic menu.
• Coloured bars show each person’s connection: green is great, orange is OK, red is weak.
• Press back to keep talking while you use the rest of the app; the red Leave button hangs up.

Private and safe

Voice goes straight between phones (through a secure relay when a network needs one) and is never recorded or stored. You can mute, block or report anyone.
